    Hmmm of the few hundred shots that i've tested with the highspeed focus, I've gotten about 30+ 40+ focus misses.. usually in a complex scene.. where there's a big depth of view, i'm using F2.8-3.3....

    eh.. just a normal UV filter will do. for around US$10, it certainly protects really expensive stuff. I've accidentally scratched n thrown away 2 uv filters already.. good thing it's not my lens.

    hmmmm if I'm not wrong, 40X is something like 10MB/s. Panasonic has a card that goes at 20MB/s, but that's going to cost you a major bomb.
    Using a 40X card, I don't really notice any major lag....
