Here is another shot of Intrigue and one of an old time, once blooming rose that I have been uanable to identify. It came with our house and I have had several people try to name it, but know one...

Very nice close up of the Mallard. I like the yellow Iris too...it would fit nicely with some of my roses. :)

I finally have some roses blooming...
First is Intrigue, the second Distant Drums

This is (approximately) 10 year old Trixie and my mom just got her from the local pound. She is a rescue dog that has had her jaw broken. She is such a calm, friendly little dog I can't imagine...

These are my first submissions to this thread...I hope to have many more.
The first is an unusual flower called Sea Holly. The second pic is an anemone growing through the boards of my mom's...

I found this pair of swans at a nearby wildlife refuge.

This iris (and a bunch of others) grow around my deck. I took these pictures as it started to sprinkle and the petals closing.

Like you goose photo! I got this one with the goslings...it must have been lunchtime. :) I haven't seen any cygnets yet, but I'll keep checking. I'm lucky enough to live within 45 minutes of 4...

Did you mention a great blue heron? I'll throw in a red-wing blackbird for free. ;)
-
Falconest...here are some swans for you. The second swan photo isn't great technically, but I loved the heads or tails aspect of it. I added a few geese too.

shankar...I replied in a private message, check your inbox. :)

I already have a ND on the way so I'll wait for it to get here to try again. I appreciate your answer more than you know...you summarized in one paragraph, in a way I could understand, what others...

I've searched the forums and tried googling articles. I still do not have a clear idea on how to capture a soft cloud movement in my photos. I tried today and all I got was a completely white...

I received my polarzing lens a few days ago, but didn't get a chance to play with it until today. Why the heck haven't I had one of these things? For the first time I have blue skys and white...

Thanks Spookonthe8ball.
I swear when they passed by me the lighter colored mule rolled its eyes like it was saying "Oh please lady, haven't you ever seen a mule before?".
-
On the way to work I passed this 3 mule team pulling a covered wagon. They were coming from somewhere in Missouri and traveling to parts unknown. I shot this in Central Illinois so they had already...

My secret to the moon shot (or any of my photos) is a resounding "I don't know". I just play and play and then play some more with the different settings until I get the photo I want. :)

I recently went from the Canon S2 IS to the Fuji S700. I find the S700 to be similar in in size and ease of use. But, I've also found the S700 to take much better pictures with several more auto...

Belated Happy Birthday!
I guess I'm unusual...ok I know I am. I can't tell you if I'm 43 or 44 and I'm to lazy to do the math. I'm at the point in my life age doesn't matter. My body feels 80,...

I recently bought the Fuji S700. I have been quite impressed with it. I have not had a problem with action shots (children running, softball game, etc). If you look on the Fuji S700 thread within...
