Pentax K100D It does give a warning on the lcd screen but that is only if you turn on the camera and wait for the mode display to disappear. And once you depress the shutter partly that disappears....

About what I would expect. The 100D is much better autofocusing in different light conditions. My pictures are not as sharp so far with the 100D but so far I am chalking that up to inexperience...

What are you trying to focus on? Is there enough contrast? Does it grab good focus in other modes?

With those particular bags would that problem arise? The bag is handled from the side rather then the top so when the bag is being placed down it wouldnt likely be put down hard with the lens down
