    I agree completely.

This issue has been brought up many times on different forums. It'd be nice if Penatax listened.

    Good post!

A year or so ago I read some very similar thots by Ken Rockwell. It made sense to me and caused me to work all the harder at making the most of my Canon G5. I'm still trying to photograph using this...

    I've seen it only...

...in situations where it was very dark, I underexposed the picture and then lightened it a lot in PP. I have never seen it under 1600 ISO. Some obsess over this but I've yet to see any actual pics...

    OK, here's a couple.

Though I wouldn't set myself up as any prime pic taker w/ the K10..but I try.

    Naw, not rain.

Others have said melting snow. But it was neither. I was there and it wasn't doing any of that. If you look at a large enough version of the pic you'll see the streaks line up w/ the drooping...

    Photo Lab...

...does allow you to do quite a bit. For me it's just too cumbersome. I like all my adjustments readily available at once. Plus the preview pic you work w/ to check your adjustments is very small....

    There are several...

...you might want to try. I use Bibble Pro and love it. It will process both DNGs from the K10D and the native PEFs. Adobe Lightroom Beta 4 will process the DNGs. Adobe, being a Beta version, is...

    Here's a non-standard type of banding I got.

I've gotten this type of "banding" only twice out of 1700 pics. A little odd. It's the white stripes running vertically in this picture.

    That is NOT banding...

...this same picture was posted over at DPReview by someone else (or same guy using a different moniker). What you're seeing is the fake wood grain of the shelf. Nothing more. There has been some...

    You're on to something here...

...and it's something I struggle w/. Some PP is necessary to bring the pic back to the original look of the subject photographed. Colors and such can be lost by the camera. Then again it can be...

    An unqualified opinion.

I think it would be great upgrade. You'll get SR (shake reduction), sensor cleaning, weather sealed body, new pro-optics quality lenses, and the newest software/hardwaren (PRIME) Pentax has to offer...

    What does it matter?

IF this camera turns out to be a good one (as I think it will) why would it matter who makes it or if it's a clone of another or not? Isn't the most important thing that this be a good tool for...

    Try Photomatix Pro!

You can find it here: http://www.hdrsoft.com/

I've been trying it and like it a lot. The best way I've found to use it is to put your camera on a tripod and use the exposure bracketing option. ...
