And you can see the rest here if you care...

Tim,
Thanks for the explanation and I agree. What Brian is trying to do is going to be difficult. Would be difficult with most any camera, dSLR or not. I wasn't pleased with my S6000 after I...

Tim,
Where did you find sample pics from the S100fs? Also, you're saying that 11.1 megapixels are only good enough for small prints and web postings???? Just curious.

Haven't posted here in a while but still plugging away with the S6000. I'm still yearning for that DSLR but pictures like this make me love this camera. :D

dt,
I say 'easy shots' but it really took a lot of trial and error to get some satisfactory results. Glad I didn't have to use film. :)
Anyway, as you can see there is a feeder perch showing...

Sticking with the 'easy' shots. Another hummer.

Great news and thanks for replying so quickly. :)
I don't reply much on this board unless I have something I think is worth adding to the thread. But.....I know the people here, who posts helpful...

Anyone else notice the absence of Paul Schneider lately? Paul is from Minnesota and I believe Minneapolis. Certainly hope everything is OK with Paul and family after that bridge collapse tragedy.

Certainly a reputable dealer.
Funny thing, I checked Beach Camera where I...

I agree Paul. No Super CCD? Why? Also did away with the manual zooming barrel I see. I've gotten to like that part of the S6K a lot.
I'm to the point now that if I've got $400 to plunk down on...

ProPhecy,
Here's absolutely the best site I've seen to help you untangle this mess. :)

Just an ol' day lily but I thought the color was brilliant in yesterday's sunshine.

Personally I think the video quality is quite good for a camera of that type. I've taken several short videos at a go-kart track and was very pleased. Understand you're not getting a video camera...

Love the lightning shot Levicki. That's something I haven't tried yet but really is on my agenda. :)
Most of this late winter and early spring I've been trying to get a Great Blue Heron to stay...

As you can probably tell from the blades of grass, this little guy was only an inch from wingtip to wingtip. He posed well for this macro though.

It was cropped. Here's another picture to show my vantage point when trying to get the shot. By aiming away from the house I can then crop the feeders out of the pic.

Thanks Spinning, but it really wasn't that difficult. Although I must say a little luck helps because they're so quick and can change directions on a dime. We have 4 feeders hanging from the eaves...

And.....the hummingbirds are back. I'm happy now! :D

Finally all the dull colors of winter are gone and suddenly the pictures get better. :)

C-Digital,
Thanks for the explanation. I figured that was the only way to get them out of the store but didn't really know they would allow that. Never know unless you ask of course. :)
We...

My son-in-law just purchased that camera from buy.com for a tad over $200. It hasn't arrived yet but I'm thinking it's going to be a very nice camera for the price.
I'm curious though...

You folks are taking some nice shots. Love the dog quikstylee. :)
Although I've been panning this camera in some posts I thought I'd better post a few good shots that I've been happy with. In...

Thanks Andy, but I do use 'P' mode for most of my indoor shots. It's probably the photographer but in part I'll still say the camera is just not that great for impromptu indoor shots. Either that...

Spinning,
Thanks for the shots and the tip about "hanging on to the manual zoom". That's interesting and could be one of the culprits of bad shots. I'll check that out.
Core!,
It's not my...

OK, having expressed my displeasure with this camera in several other posts I have to ask you 'regulars' a favor. Without going back to view all the many pictures in this thread, cause I'm on...
