i recently bought a xti and sold the stock lens and bought the Canon 18-55mm IS lens and its great.

i would think that taking pictures with the live view would result in more often blurry pictures as you are not bracing the camera on anything (while when using the viewfinder, the camera is braced...

I had a canon s3 is before and it had 12x zoom. What is the zoom of 720mm? how do you figure it out?

I was paying attention, I just dont know if cold was talking about first hand experience with the 1.5x or just extrapolating on his experience with the 1.4x
