    Coldrain-

Everyone seems to have their own oipinion. Perhaps your flavor is entitled: sour grapes. Why not work together and help people who really want answers. Your sarcasm seeps through!

    Olympus SP-350

    Donato-

There is a very positive user review at www.pricegrabber.com. The camera is quite small and it would make an excellent pocket camera.

New SP Series Cameras from Olympus

    Donato-

I agree the new SP series cameras from Olympus are indeed rather interesting. There are not ultra small, but for example the SP-350, does have a lot of features, including 8mp, but only 3X...

    The Nikon S-4

    Yachtshooter-

I totally agree with you. Based on a lot of great photos from my Nikon 8400, I went for the S-4. It was a mistake, just as you discovered. It seems like that both Nikon and Olympus...

    An Easier Step-Up

Why not follow-up on your interest in the Olympus C-8080. It is a great digital camera and it would have a much easier learing curve than the D-70/50, Canon XT suggestions. I got mine for $440. That...
  14. Kodak P-850

Just a personal opinion: While the P-850 represents a huge step forward for Kodak, the P-850 is still a step or two behind the competition (Sony H-1, Canon S-2 IS, and Panasonic FZ-5).

    For me the...

    Fuji S-5200

    Mary-

As you know I have used my Fuji F-10 a lot (5,300+ shots) and I have also owned the S-5000, and really liked the camera. My only qualm with the F-5000 was that it was only 3.3mp.

Fuji S-5200 versus the Fuji F-10

I'm with Shingi on this one as well. I love my F-10 (5,300 photos and I still love it!) and its great capabilities, but I am buying an S-5200 because I will have more control, more zoom and more...

    Olympus C-8080

There is a rumor that a replacement is not due to Spring 2006. I have a C-8080 and really like it a lot. However it is limited to a max ISO of 400 whereas the Fuji S-9000 can go to ISO 1600.

    New Baby-New Camera

    Hi Mary-

Why not take a look at the Fuji F-10. It sells for less than $300 and does very well indeed with low light level photos.

    Theater/Existing Light/No Flash Camera

I sincerely believe that the only prosumer camera out there that will give you very good results is the Sony R-1, and that exceeds you budget and will not be on the market until November.
