Excellent picture of Landscape
I love the Oregon Coast picture. The lighting in that case is beautifully handled. Also, AlkaPhunk, I love your shot of the Rajhastan Desert and its contrast.
Another from the sunset last Monday in Davenport, CA
Thats a really beautiful place Lukas. I've said this before but I envy people who live close to shorelines like that :).
I love the composition coupled with the cloudformation.
One from my trip to Big Sur a couple weeks ago. No clouds on this evening. :(
Haha only a photographer can be sad that theres no clouds at the beach :D. Nice shot, a bit too much blur tho imo, makes it feel a bit soft.
i can finally contribute something to this thread. :)
Mac, Wrengler great images. Mac, love PP in your image.
Rooz, your contributions are incredible, love both of them. Post more
Great one Rooz. I like the towering wave.
my contribution to this thread.
Very nice Gintaras. Love the fall colors scattered around.
thanks Lucas, this was the first time I noticed fall colors around, in the city I live trees are still greener than I would like them while no time for driving out to see more fall.
Thats a beautiful fall pic Gintaras, well done.
Nice shot, Gintares. Great colours.
Here's a picture I took last week:
Pfeiffer Beach, CA
Davenport Beach, CA
Good Prospero, though it seems over-sharpened.
TheWengler, #1 is nice but it seems like a better execution might be possible (I can't say what). Great tones & colors & sun flare on #2, you have noticeably improved even in the last year I think (I don't remember any of your shots from this time 2008 having quite the same thing going for them). So if you had to choose only the top 100 of your shots how would you know which ones they were . BTW, do you correct lens distortion in camera, or is the 16-45 naturally distortion free?
Just take out all the bad ones and there would be about 100 left. :)
I usually correct distortion in PSE5 for anything taken at 16mm w/ a straight horizon. Everything else I just leave alone.
I like that one jekostas. It might look better with a 4:5 aspect ratio, losing the bottom little bit?
Thanks Raven and Lukas.
Lukas, great shot. The second one is excellent.
I'm not entirely sure about the first one, though. For me, I think there's not enough going on in this one.
Here are two more shots, both are again HDRs.
#2: I haven't posted anything with my bike in it in a while, so here it goes :)
dennis that bike shot is just stunning mate. wow.
Man, Dennis, your control of the HDR process is really just amazing.
I agree with the others Dennis your HDRs are stunning. For me though the bike shot was just a touch to vivid. I loved the saturation levels of the previous shot but the bike's background was a bit OTT.
Thanks, Adam and Phil
Phil, I think I agree with you here. I already brought down the saturation a lot when I got the image out of photomatix, but looking back at the image, I think it could use just a bit more.
Prospero, great image of bike & landscape, love it. The only thing I think is to apply slightly cooler colors to this image, hope you do mind me this suggestion.
Lucas, amazing sea coast shots, as always. Wish we had sea here
Nice B&W seascapes Rooz but can you explain the thinking behind the black bands you've been adding to the top & bottom of your shots lately. To me it makes them look like I'm looking at a widescreen image on a normal monitor...I guess I'm missing something?
no reason phil, just preference at the moment. there's very little thought behind it really. :)
Rooz - your last one is very, very nice and a great conversion to b&w.
A pretty common one, haven't been out of the city lately ...
Ah yes, the fresh air and fabulous landscapes of China.:(:confused::rolleyes:
That's what I like about this thread. Variety. Nice B&W Rooz, and I had to put on my desaturator-glasses for the bike shot Prospero, but I like it ALOT, and really wouldn't change it because it works.
Still trying to make my way up to Jerome (a biker-town on the side of a mountain near Sedona... Arizona) for a shoot...
