Paris Sunset, Last night...

A lone crane salutes a dying sun - looking from Croydon generally West.
No tampered with at all - just reduced in size.
A-200 last night at work
We saw a kill from the Ark in Kenya, when 10 lionesses attacked and killed a buffalo.Quote:

We saw leopards in the Serengeti. The closest we got to seeing a kill was watching a cheetah stalking some antelope. Suddenly the wind shifted, for a split second all the antelopes lifted their heads, and were off with a flash.Quote:

This is my favorite of the bunch. A couple of the others seem to have a bit too much contrast, but this one really "works" for me.Quote:

Here is a shot I took when I first got my old Fuji Finepix camera (2000 maybe) from the top of Bishop's Peak in San Luis Obispo, California. It is not a great photo. Part of it is because it is so compressed, but I've always liked the shot. If I get a chance, I want to go back and get a sunset shot at the same place. I always loved being on top of that peak when the sun sets over the incoming ocean fog.

Here is another one with my old Fuji camera. This was just last fall. I got better at resizing my shots over time and at keeping the originals. I was such a novice back in my earlier days such as the previous post....
This is at La Jolla down near San Diego. Very simple shot really, a sunset over the Pacific.
Sometimes our best memories in photos arn't neccesarily the best quality - same with old records and tapes - but never the less they are cherished - this is clearly a nice moment recorded. I can enjoy it with you - so it can't be that bad!
Love the Sun on the Sea - it's my favourite kind of Sunset.Quote:

Here is a sunrise shot a few weeks ago. The bright spot above the clouds is actually a spotlight effect from the sun which is why I shot this.
Took these this evening using my Canon 300D
I loved this one, even though the trees are too dark and I couldnt correct it ,I thought it was nice.
Yeah BE's chick. I like your 2nd sunset very much too !!
I tried a few adjustments, without your agreement, but hope you won't matter ;)
adjusted : trees, and get rid off this thing down left (oar?)...
wow, thanks. It was a post of some kind, next to a bridge. How did you do the corrections? When I tried, it looked strange.
I've just made a layer from darken selected area with photoshop.
Then enlighted a bit this layer, and add contrast too to give a bit more "relief" to the trees.
And to get rid off the left side thing, I used the duplicate tool, smoothly.
I think it could be brighten a lil more, but liked it like that ;)
This is an unenhanced photo taken from the cruise ship Voyager of the Seas.
welcome divetex, That photo has some fantastic colors in it. It could easily be used for a Cruise commercial. What kind of camera are you using and what settings? Thanks for sharing.
Here's a couple of sunsets i've been lucky enough to see:-)
The first one is very nice, but the second one is downright stunning. thanks for sharing. :)
Thanks for that............a big boost to the confidence:-)
I'm just getting into photography and am seriously considering buying a panasonic fz5 within the next month or so. But for now i'm using a pretty basic Fuji Finepix and those sunsets were taken with that.
I took this image of Bigbury on Sea sunset this april, on my D100. It was taken at f22 30secs, with a cokin neutral density filter

May I ask what scene mode should i use for sunset and sunrise? I have tried taking but the shots are seem to be no good. Please advise. Thanks!
Samantha --> What you mean exactly by "... seem to be not good..."
Do you have an example to post here to give us a clue ?
Here is another sunset over Paris.

Hi AlkaPhunk
Most of them I had deleted away. But I managed to find one. What you see below is not what I see at that point of time. You get what I mean? The color everything is different.
Waow neva seen a Pinky susnet like this ;)
Well i sure didn't think about this kind of render....
What DC do you own ?
And what kind of scene progs you could use ?
Looks like the white balance ain't that so good, but i think this isn't the one & only problem.
My camera is no brand one. I am using auto mode.
Well it looks like a cellular phone camera....
If it is, i'm afraid you cuoldn't change anything...
