"Sundown over Chisholm over Chisholm Creek #6"
1 of 8 shots, 6 horizontal (landscape) 2 portrait, including #6.
Chisholm Creek Park is named for trailblazer & Cattleman Jesse Chisholm, whose name was attached to the Chisholm Trail.
Millions of heads of cattle left Texas for Kansas on the Chisholm Trail.
What you're seeing is the backend of one of Kansas' famous Thunderstorms.
Sometime towering 50,000 over the prairies, storms like this one bring the ugliness of destruction, like at Greensburg Kansas this year.
But as the storms move on, they also leave behind extraordinarily blue-crystal clear skies like in the photo.
These are from Yellowstone/Grand Tetons (2006)
I know my photo quality is not up to par, but I still like the pictures. Hope someone else will, too. Used a Canon S2.
First ones are the Great Fountain Geyser at Yellowstone N.P. Last ones are at or near Jackson Lake, Grand Tetons N.P. (I think that's the name of the Lake.)
