Will people never learn?!?! Now there are 2 threads with images so huge that maybe about 1/2 of it fits on my monitor. I'm not going to download an image so that I can look at in one of my photo programs. If it's too big for the monitor then just keep scrolling down and curse at the person who posted it!
Please reduce the size of these posted images. It also makes it difficult to reply, as we have to scroll horizontally to get to the save button.
In addition, Jeff Keller is nice enough to keep these boards open (on his own dime), so every time you post a 2-4MP image it takes up about 4-8 times the space it should.
What is the best way to get a sunset and a person light at the same time?
I assume you mean having the sunset behind the person, not them facing into it. This is no different than any other backlighting situation. The answer is generally going to require using fill flash. You do not say anything about your camera, other gear or comfort level with manual camera controls. Almost every current camera, especially point and shoots, have a scene setting for backlit portraits. Many even have one for sunsets.
SO beatuful it is. which camera and lens do you used?
Unusual sunsets from the cockpit.
Karim Nafatni's shots are pretty nice. Can't repost without permission.
D70FAN! WOW, some cool stuff there! Wish there were more complete descriptions of some of them, I'm really curious about where the locations are for some of them! Thanks for the link.
That is one red sky.
