Filters are not to make scenes into art, but to allow the LIMITED sensor capture all of the light by filtering out strong light in certain parts.
I love the colors AFTER or BEFORE the sun is in play, because no filter is needed since the dynamic range is minimized.
Agreed, which is why I appreciate it when nature does the job... I'm still using some of the filters I bought in 197something for the SRT101, and later on the FM (I still can't find it after the move :().

alihan1988 - this is an awesome photo - would be great if you had a link to a full size version.
Meanwhile try to make them a little smaller, for viewing here, then you can use less compression and still meet the file size requirement
