New here. Trying to figure out how to post a pic, but I don't see any instructions for doing so. I'll make a guess and I'll give it a shot anyway. This is one of my favorite bird shots ever... a female Ruby-throated Hummingbird. Taken a few months back so I don't have all the settings, but I'm sure it was on shutter priority mode.

Thanks Val, and JTL. I just got my first SLR camera less than 2 years ago... broke it and then upgraded to a digital SLR. Since then, it's really become more of an obsession than just a hobby. I'm learning more and more as time goes by. Planning to order a new lens this week, so my obsession will be in high gear for sure! :D

I've been buried in Macro for a looong time, there are some awesome shots on this thread, Here is my humble contribution, hope you like. oh, by the way, he was about 10 feet away, focusing on dinner.
Title: Seagull Attack.
Panasonic DMC-FZ20 (black in colour) in P mode (who had time for buttons when the birds were attacking?). Handheld (no remote).
Some heavy Photoshop post processing (mainly for effect - sharpening, contrast). I like to keep the picture natural, of course.

Thanks Paul. I thought they were embedded in there, but I didn't know how to get to them. Once I remove them from my PS program, I have no clue how to get that info again. I assumed you would right click on the pic and go to properties, but I don't see it there. Do you mind telling me how to do this?

Windows XP can give you EXIF info without any 3rd party program. Download the photo to your computer first, (I put it on Desktop) then Right-Click-Properties. Click Summary tab then Advanced>>.Quote:

Tim, thanks for the info, but I just have the pics stored on a host site. I've already removed them from my computer and I really don't want to put them back in there... but I'd still like to be able to access my settings info when I post a pic here if that's possible. Having just discovered this site recently, I've just been posting some older pics. I won't have this problem when I post new ones. I just take so many photos that I've been trying to shoot, post-process in PSE, then print/save to CD and finally delete them from my hard drive as quickly as I can.
My daugther hustled me into going feeding the ducks today. Brought my Cam and shot a few of them ;)
