Bird Thread

Still trying to find that great bird shot. This was the only birdie around today.

This goose did not like seagulls in his puddle.

Ain't that the truth! That's why they were used as "guard dogs" in some cultures in ancient and mediaeval times, I think it was the Roman Army that started the trend...

I dont do much bird photos, but I was downtown Barrie last week and snapped this photo:

These 2 birds are rescues.

The toucan was incredibly difficult to get a shot of...aside from the fact that he wouldn't stop jumping around...ISO 1000, through mesh wire, no flash (or else it threw wire shadows everywhere), 1/40 sec, f/5.6/ @ 112mm with my 18-200. Oy...what a headache!

FWIW, I like the original much better. I think photos need some negative space.

Here's another Gull, and a Goose hitting the brakes real hard.
