Thanks AlkaPhunk, I understand where you are coming from on that - however I do have to be very aware of that DOF as I can end up with too much of the subject out of focus if I am not carefull. Just have to be carefull then won't I!!Quote:

(EDIT - I just went out to the back garden and measured this so you know what sort of flower it is ... I know I'm very sad!! - anyway - from tip to tip of petal it is 1.5 inches)
I'm moving to this house I've bought, it's in this great sacred nature /reserve kind of place. Today I was there and I had to park just where these guys were sunbathing. Not really a macro shot but - my home :p

These are Coneflower's growing in gardens outside Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Took about 60 seconds to compose and snap three images and move on. I almost forgot even taking these.

Bluedog, both shots are awesome, the first for the colors,composition and the shallow DOF, the second for the color and extreme detail. great shots.

Here is an "studio shot" of a white clover head [Trifolium repens]. I am amazed just how beautiful these are when revealed by the camera.
Canon A80, indoors, Macro mode, Ap f/8, Exp 1/4s, exposure compensation -1and1/3.
