Switchblade906: I'm learning as I go along myself :) Bought the lights in november for a photoshoot of a girl, so this is only the second time I'm using them.
Raven15: Thank you. Portrait might work, but I'm too lazy to try :D
Phill D: Thank you. The owner is a friend of mine, who I've also photographed (http://mariusaasheim.com/IMGjean.html) so there's no money involved. I've only charged for a photoshoot once (because it was for a magazine), but I don't think I'll do it again. As soon as money is involved, it's no longer a hobby that I'm doing for fun: it's work. And unless some one gives me a full time job as a photographer, I'd rather keep it fun than get a few bucks here and there ;)

Photowerkz - excellent series!
Speaking about cats - they also proved to be very good equipment test subjects ...

Our cat really would rather sleep than help test my flash...

That thing needs a hair cut

Yeah, long haired cats are always shedding too. They are indoor cats so at least they don't get all kinds of crap in their fur.

The fun part is having to clip all those little knots of fur they get. :( Mine always gets hers right behind an ear. Fortunately, she is patient and lets me pull and clip them off.

How often do you have to clean out their crap box before it starts to stink?
-
Fortunately ours never seem to get knots. The female is not into brushing, but the male loves it.
