My gear - boast about your gear here

So the wife hooked me up for X-Mas, she bought a Clik Elite Pro Express, a couple Sandisk Pro cards, 2 umbrellas and stands, crumpler 7 million messanger bag and some filters.

Got myself a MB-D10 battery grip for the D700 today. Love it. I can get a better grip on the camera while shooting both horizontally and vertically now. The only thing I don't like about it is the tiny joystick on it used to move the focus point around. It's horrible. But apart from that.. Great! And the D700 looks pretty hardcore with it attached :)

I love the Grip too, I don't mind the joystick. After using it for a while now I've learn to like it. I too agree that the grip makes it look pretty hardcore. Most people ask why I use/have it. Then I give it to them to handle and they can't believe how it it feels.

I wouldn't use my D300 without one now it just doesn't feel right. The MB-D10 just balances the whole camera so much better. Eight AA Eneloops and the thing takes photos almost forever between charges.

BTW I blame Rooz for mine everything he told me about them was correct.

i think the biggest flaw with it is that it needed to have a Fn button somwhere that was easy to reach in portrait orientation. trying to reach the Fn and DOFp buttons in portrait mode is very difficult.

35f2 is my new favourite lense, i can chase zavier around the house with it unlike the nifty 50... now if rooz would just tell me the secrets to the 35f2 i would be set!

Loved that lens. That and the sigma 150 are the only 2 lens' i miss.

you may need to buy lukas one, he will be dynomite with a 35f2... now can you give me at least 1 tip with the 35f2? you used to use it on your d80 where was the sweetspot? dont keep secrets mr rooz! :p

I shot it almsot exclusively at f2. Sweet spot is 4-5.6. Theres some CA until f4 but unles you shoot Really high contrast scenes, it never became an issue for me. Get close to things, the mfd is awesome so dont be afraid to squeeze right in.
