flash etiquette
i got realy pissed that a ref refused to tell a photographer not to use a flash while under the home teams basket...it was clearly blinding the team when ever they went for a shot.. the guy was from the other teams town...
so guess what..fair is fair...geeee suddenly the other team coach had a problem with my flash.........well too damn bad

LOL. Go get em Sonynut. Now I see a use for that Mecablitz 76

I don't even stand under the basket for that very reason. I don't want to distract a free throw shooter which might cause the coach some grief. But I do shoot from behind the baseline on either side using Alien Bees either mounted on light stands or super clamped to the hand railings and triggered by Skyports. They are usually aimed at the ceiling.

i don't use a flash...have never needed one... it just pissed me off to see this clown that claims to be a Pro show up with a pos lens using a flash..i looked his work, if you can call it that, online,,every thing he ever does is flash flash flash, and the pics look horible...and he has the nerve to charge a arm n leg for crap shots...i say throw the bum out... if you want to take pics of sports buy a faster lens

Do you have a link to his pics?

Ambient light nicely preserved compared to the almost black background of the other fellow!

even better at full 24+mp ;-)
before i had plenty of light even with my sigma 70-200 2.8
now i only use the 135 and 85 zeiss...135 from the stands and 85 on the floor...and with 24mp there is plenty there to crop/zoom
