Help with moon shot
I am trying to take some shots of the moon with my new lens. And I do not think I am getting the detail I should. Any pointers would be helpful
Steady shot= off
The lens is a tamron 18-250 Di II
Focal length= 250
Thanks in advance
Settings and exposure look fine. I hate to break it to you, but with that lens, that's as good as it gets. ;)
Some unsharp mask would help a bit, but don't overdo it.
You might also want to try 200mm, it might be a tad sharper.
try shooting it a little darker and bring it back up in post..
are you shooting in raw?
try a stop slower, (1/125s), and put it on a tripod. ryan is right though, at 250mm that lens is pretty crumby for fine detail.
even though you don't see stuff in the air doesnt mean its not there...clouds..smog moisture..thermals...they all distort space images
Considering it is 398,058 km away...
What's in your way ?
I know what you mean about things always seeming to get in the way of your shot!
With me, it's usually some darn kid ... and his pet monkey ...
Thats why i mount my lens on a rifle
Help with moon shot...
CALL A PLUMBER!!!!!
Use a tripod
Use a remote control (or at least a self-timer on the shutter)
Mirror lockup would be good as well (I'm not sure the A300 has that)
Shoot in RAW
