First wedding, 2nd shooter
A friend wants to start shooting weddings, and asked me to help out. It was pretty tough, small room, horrible light, 2 of the 4 walls were windows. But, it did have a nice, not too high ceiling to bounce off of. My camera is a XTi, and the whole wedding was shot at ISO 800 to 1600 so I could get the most ambient light in...which wasn't much. At the ceremony, I tried shooting with my 85mm f/1.8 wide open at ISO 1600, and only could get 1/30. So, flash was needed most of the night. I'm glad I had the 580 EX II, which I bought just a few weeks prior.
