LOL I thought you would have drank and swallowed the contents of the manual by now since you owned the body since 2006.
I have yet to touch the manual of the a700. I have the PDF on my desktop though and did look up what a few things did in the beginning.
I find that if i start using the camera first, I forget all about the manual since I just learn by messing with things.
I have the Gary Friedman a700 e-book and have yet to pass page 12 on it.
I know I have had plenty of time to digest the α850 manual, since its "secreted" release. LOL It was like reading the α900, Second Edition.

I've barely touched the manual or any other guide books. It crossed my mind to get a guidebook since I was quite unfamiliar with the buttons, but it was easy to learn through trial and error.
