All of the printer manufacturers pull that crap. At least the Kodak cartridges aren't $45 each.
When you consider how much ink is actually in them the are about the same..but you can refill most others i have used
Well, I gave up on "little" printers and went with a big dog (EPSON Stylus Pro 3800) to save some money in ink. It reduced cost to about a 1/4 of what it was ... and that still is not cheap!
Yeah, I didn't either ... so I sold all my Canon crap ... and suddenly, I was a free man again! :D
I am glad my friend prints all my images. His company prints all the school and sports pictures. He said I could go up one day to check it out. I will take some pictures when I go.
i don't even print pictures..mostly invoices n' such. so i kind of want to get more than 20 pages for 25 bucks..
anyway i just bought a canon mp620..at least the colors are individual so you don't have to toss the cart because one color got low..
prints nice too
and self reseting chip carts are avail..
I'm fortunate in using an i560 - the ink is dirt cheap for older printers.
For photo printing however, you cannot beat the online services. Even the cost of ink and paper (not even including wastage) is more expensive than they are - economies of scale!
