SONY 50mm f/1.4 radical response
I been struggling with my SONY 50mm f/1.4, that's about a year and a half old.
To duplicate the issue, to me, seems pretty simple, yet ... I am having trouble getting the "repair facility" to do so. It has been there and back, once, so far.
Basically it goes like this:
- you put the lens on the DSLR camera
- turn the camera on
- with the drive mode selection, choose Hi-speed shutter
- Choose "M" mode
- select aperture to f/10
- select shutter speed of 1/60
- select ISO = 800
- lift the built in flash
- Focus and fire roughly five consecutive shots.
If your lens is acting like mine is ... instead of five roughly identical exposures, you will have several over-exposed ... the first one easily not right and then one of more of the rest. The problem sems to be tardy response by the aperture, itself. I do not get this response from my 17059 or any other lens, for that matter. Just this PRIME.
I get so tired of the back and forth, with these kind of things.
