Color Corrected Portrait
I watched a tutorial on how to color correct a portrait. This is an image of my granddaughter I posted before and I tried to correct the color by what I learned in the tutorial. How does it look?
the second looks nicer but it also seems brighter!
i agree. the second is much nicer but mainly cos its exposed correctly. the first is underexposed. i dont notice too much of a colour shift. have a play with the crop frank.
I will crop it after I am finished working on it. I always forget to do something.
Frank, what creative style is your camera set to?
its one hell of a good lookin little girl. i'd be suggesting shooting your 50/1.7 at around f2.5 with you standing over her and her looking up at you with those gorgeous eyes, no background distractions. would love to do a shoot with her and your daughter.
I had it set on manual made. Here is the EXIF data.

Frank, you really need a flashgun. bounce makes a world of difference :-)
let me know if you are looking for one.....i'll find you Canadian shops that will ship to the U.S. and you'll end up saving about 20%.
This is just with a bump on the contrast nothing else
It looks real good. I guess I didn't need to go through all that trouble to try to color correct the skin. LOL I wanted to try what I learned on one of my images. It said to start with color correction.
