It was a bit washed out so I boosted the saturation. Yes, Sheep.

I shot this one, today ... out in Evanston, IL.
The Grosse Point Lighthouse ... in winter

I shot it for a kind of "Hey, will ya look at that!" kind of effect. Anyone can step out into the clear and get this baby.
Just walk right up and ... in your face! :p

Well since Verizon Voicewing VOIP (voice over IP) is discontinuing next month, we needed a "land line" to use with the home phone.
We decided to try magicJack and so far setup has been extremely easy and the calls are even clearer than Verizon so far.
The cost is $39.95 (bought from Best Buy) and the break down of that is $20 for the "jack" and $20 for the first year of service. It's $20/year after that. It includes unlimited local, long distance to the USA and Canada! Other countries are only a few cents/minute.
The only catch is that you have to plug it into a computer that has to be always ON so that it routes the calls to your phone. You also lose your existing phone number (they cannot port it over at this time). And of course, they could go out of business and you lose your ~$40.
I will see how this goes... so far, I love it and would recommend it.
And that's POTD? Uh, okay ... and now, back to our regularly scheduled program.
Where's the XIF data , you guys?
Okay ... tacked it on ... sorry
Don, that top scene looks like something from Europe, not Illinois. Very cool.
One thing about these frosty evenings, it makes for some spectacular Sunsets.

Something I had to deal with in Photoshop were some ugly Electicity Cables.
If I'd had the time I would have walked up the field at the back to avoid them but by the time my Missus told me to look out the window, the Sun had already dipped behind the hill and there was little time to spare. As it was I didn't have time to put on a coat and nearly got frostbite.
Excellent imaging, Peter. She has an eye, that's for sure.
