SONY "DT" lens survey
This is a repeat of a survey that had been considered for only APS-C, but since SONY has designed the Full Frame A900 camera body to accept "DT" lenses in a crop mode ... they all fit.
If you have purchased a SONY α200, α300, α350 or α700, then you may be wondering what SONY zoom lenses are out there for your camera.
With your help, this survey will help gage how the trend is going among the current forum members.
Please check off the lenses you currently have with your camera system, if they are listed.
See the other survey, also for the remaining zoom lens listing.
If I had the money, would replace the Tamron 17-50 F/2.8 with the CZ 16-80mm and a Tamron 28-75mm F2.8 ;)
And then later down the road the 24-70mm F2.8
So with this crop-mode....does it reduce the resolution on the a900 to be compatible?
The 16-80 Z seems like a outstanding lens, amazing color etc. At some point I am going to need fill out my lower end with sometning nice and wide
I know you "DT" users are out there ... because SONY is saying they are making money off of them. If you haven't voted for the one you have ... please do.
Also, vote to participate in the "Christmas Still" contest. It should be a lot of fun and interesting, at the same time.
Once you move into the A9, one should consider non-DT Lenses for better photographs. Maybe not so much better but more volume. With that said, DT lenses have more resolution on the 9 than the 7 if you doing very large prints. Ive only had the 24-70 for a short while but it’s simply night and day between the 16-70 CZ and 24-70CZ.
A huge concern of mine is how will Sony and others develop dynamic range close to the human eye? Could be a subject for another topic!
damn... one of these days, I'll get my hands on the 24-70CZ, what else do you have AJ?
I'm done shopping for a while, having just picked up a 'New' 75-300 Minolta. When I get back into it, the Tamron 17-35 will be my down payment on a 16-80.
