Sorry Phill for not answering sooner. Somehow I never looked or something. The photo looks good, nice and sharp. I think the dark- and mid-tones of the bird should be a little brighter, not enough to clip highlights just make the white more... white. I'd be curious to see the original.
If you do not want to see pictures of Russia, better stop here.

Car on Olkhon Island, Lake Baikal (I was after primary and secondary colors)
Church in Vladimir
Yet another church in Vladimir (these things are everywhere!)
Russians are great fans of WWII memorials. This one in Moscow.
Monastery tower in Suzdal (Redwall!)
I have never seen flocks of crows/ravens like this before, they were everywhere!
'nother church in Suzdal
This is what Russia really looks like, chock-full of empty bottles of alcohol.

I like the crow shot's abstract nature.
I agree with Raven that the eagle could use a bit of the zone system boost to the whites.
Been a bit uninspired lately. Must be the drab Winter colors and the warm temperatures here. It is going to be an odd Spring since the cherry trees are already in bloom; at least 3 weeks early.
I made two visits to our annual February orchid show at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. But I did not come away with much I really liked. The garden has a few tropical frogs that are always fun to watch if the glass is not too fogged up you can get decent photos. Almost put this in the flash thread since I actually used the FL36R.
Your frog capture is awesome! I love the eyes, the texture, and the funky-looking bottom lip. Very cool.
Thanks Blindeye. He had some weird Star Wars character look. I don't think he moved anything except his eyelids in the 3 hours I was in the garden.
Yes I see what you mean about the whites guys. Just looks a bit dirty I guess.
Raven Here is the original for comparison.
Cute little frog shot kg.
Raven those shots give quite an insight into Russia. You certainly get around a bit. I know it's going to sound a bit lame but I didn't realise Red Square was actually that red!
