Still getting used to my brand new 30D, and having a great time with it.
It was blended in photoshop from two exposures, no HDR or filters. I was bothered by the blueish tint of the road too, any ideas on how to fix that in PP? Thanks for the comments.
I'm seeing circles in the images. Is this due to over-zealous PP?
I should not be seeing circles with my current monitor and PC.
Very nice; I really have to try my hand at some more blends.
Here's a manual blend that I did about a year and a half ago (also 2 exposures)...

You could alter the WB and make it a bit warmer, but I generally tend to favor a "cooler" WB; the bluish tint doesn't bother me at all.
Gazebo at Vic Park

Painted with flash. 30 second exposure at night which caused the sky to pick up the orange glow of the city. The willow tree and the flag at the top of the gazebo show how windy it was...
Very........apocalyptic. :D
Isn't light great? ;)
thanks JTL and toriaj .. feels super coming from you guys. Yeah, I really love this shot - making a beeline to the frame shop shortly, it has to go up on my walls.

I haven't been very good lately with commenting...
iamaelephant - Great scene. Your edit is definitely better.
Nick, your wife is going to KILL you for posting pics like that... She could push you under a snowplow and they wouldn't find your body until spring!
ZoicX, that pool shot is a great location.... but it looks like you needed to move a step to make it really symmetrical. The shot of your wife and kid is amazing.
Agreed - awesome night shot. I'm looking for a decent tripod so that I can take good night shots too.
Here's one without a tripod - definitely blurred, but the best I could do with my lens propped up against the glass of Coit Tower.

TenD and RedShark; some really great shots.
Gorgeous photo, that first snow/tree photo, RedShark! Beautiful colour and depth of field.
We had gone to a picnic last Sunday... there was this little lake and many cute little paddle boats in the shape of swans. Yashu was very excited and wanted me to take him boating. When we reached the other end of the lake, we saw that there was this long que and we would have to wait for hours for our turn. This wasn't possible as it was almost time for us to leave. So, very calmly, I explained the situation to him... and he seemed to understand like a grown up. However this didn't reduce his fascination for the boats. I took this candid of him in that sad and longing mood..
Really good one, Viky. It really captures his mood. (And he's still a beautiful boy!)
I agree, fantastic shot Viky!
Hey all, I'm new here, but thought I'd post a pic I took of my niece over xmas. I'm new to photography and recently bought a 400D.
C&C more than welcome.

That is a really lovely photo, Kevin!
Beautiful.
Viky and KevinV - both awesome shots. Where do y'all hail from?
Thanks Adam, Nick & ZoicX!
Now, when I look at this shot, I feel that I should have waited and taken him boating:(
P.S. I'm from Guwahati, a small city in the north eastern part of India.
Thanks for the compliments! I'm from Baton Rouge, LA.
Viky, there's always tomorrow! :)

Drama; I agree with the other comment; simple, but effective.
Nice portrait Viky.
Zoicx; ditto the other comment; focus is in the wrong place, IMO - go for the eye!!!
This was one of my first few shots the first day I got my 28-105mm and I didn't even know I took it but I found it later and for some reason I just really like it. I had to reduce quality quite a bit to put it on here unfortunately, because I loved the details in the hand.
