coming back after a long break. got other hobbies and things to do and was too lazy to do PP so got plenty images in RAW that still wait my attention.
how you guys doing these days, see fewer people around on this board.
breaking news for everyone, i nearly convert to Nikon D700 but the last moment chickened out and instead got a second hand 1DMkIII with good old 17-35/2.8 and 550EX all in excellent condition. 1D has only 6000 actuations, so sounds like brand new. simply could not resist the offer. yes, 1D is 1.3 crop but IQ and image quality are so good that i am not sure if miss true FF. and to my great surprise ISO is excellent all the way to 3200, and 1600 is simply stunning clean, not mention most accurate automatic white balance in-camera. all in all i am happy as puppy. :p:rolleyes::cool:
my impressions are it is like upgrading from VW Golf straight to Mercedes McLaren. huge difference in everything, speed, IQ, and functionality. even layout of buttons is all new to me and endless functions drive me crazy. so it will take some time in learning curve.
btw, now it's about time. this one is the older image taken with 400D about two years ago but only today convert to jpeg.
and happy to see all familiar faces and new members on this board. :)
lovely photos everyone, i feel shame now that my raw files are still waiting. perhaps in a few weeks will have some time to PP and post more.:o
a few more images from my stay to Rome, one of the most magnificent cities on our earth. simply no camera can capture this. so my humble attempt to reflect just a tiny bit of this feeling.
and a few more to finish my photo confessions for today. glad to be back here.
 Excellen pics Gintaras!
Nice series Gintaras, must have been great in Rome with a camera.
thanks guys for kind comments, but actually i think i overdid highlights and coloration in a few images, so must still work to instal Lightroom instead of freaking Aperture program which i hate.
DRP, yes, this was more than lovely being in Rome with camera, and even without camera it would be great. this is magnificient city, nothing compares to it, even Venezia pales after Rome.
btw, funnily we with my wife did a mistake to visit Paris after Rome and all the way in Paris we were wondering what people love in that city. because Paris fails to excite after Rome not mention disastrous restaurants, bloody expensive and poor quality at the most places unless you climb to expensive category over 200 euros per head for meals. and Paris is just another city, i love London much better for style and flavor....
Wow don't tell the frogs that you had better food in England than Paris, too funny after all the stereotypes about English cooking. Glad you had a great trip and can't wait to see more of your great images.
