Yea I've contemplated shooting jpg but I'm too scared to donor just in case. I figured I bought a dslr so I might as well use it :) Even though I usually just use the camera profile which would be the same as shooting jog it just feels safer

^^ thanks appreciate it - RAW or bust for me, from now on. And I've had trouble with my 8gb cards this weekend, I was running out of space! I need to get some bigger cards.

No. I was at a car show near a local state park that has one of the original Big Boy engines on display. Parked in front and took a couple of different shots. The one below is a little to far away to be what I would have hoped for.

Not my dog, but a family member's. At the beach house on independence day. Dang terriers are hyper and only stay still for mere fractions of a second. Using manual focus...took a few shots to get a sharp one ...

Bit disapointed when I arrived at this field as I was hoping for blue sky but I think this turned out ok. Perhaps could do with the sky darkened a bit?

Again I should have taken my tripod as I could have done with a Bigger DOF? I though F10 would have given more but perhaps I should have focused on the second bale?
Farmers wife turned up and I think she would have turffed me off but it took her all her strength to climb over the gate let alone walk over to where I was :D

P.S. 45 photos taken with the kit lens and wide angle -I prefer the wide angle shots as they added more "space".

P.P.S Looking at the photo data the focus point was the center of the frame where the clouds look like they would meet

I went to an air show last weekend. The light was horrible but I was able to get a few decent shots. Going to an airshow makes you want more reach than a 70-200 provides!
