Creative skill ... I love it, Bower! Good job!
Here's a couple more shots.
Myself in Duluth, MN. I was visiting family there, though not in this photo :p
My girlfriend when we were in Lisbon, Portugal (we're visiting a monastery here). Here she is with her natural blonde hair (previous black haired picture was a black wig).
One look at the mug & you can see I've got character. Sometimes too much! I got into photography in my 20's & then had a lull for 20 years while I did some drinkin. Decided I needed another hobby so I took my dirt bike hobby to the road & at the mo ride an Aprilia Tuono all over the central coast of NSW & inland. Was already getting back into my pic chasing & stumbled across the D200 & thought why not, this'll be a serious learning curve. I'm getting there as far as the curve goes. As far as this site goes I love it for it's rich abundance of knowledgeable people that are willing to help & not shoot you down in flames for your lack of etiquette or knowledge. We've got a few knobs showing up but most are keeping them honest at the mo.:D This is really a great thread, it's like first day at school with mums words ringing in the background, 'don't piss in the pool', hey don't look at me, I just pushed all the girls in.;) I read of peoples lives & you realise just how small a place the world is. All the best for the new season people;)
Nice to meet you Kev/T06, and hello from Perth.
And you're right, best camera community around. I possibly wouldn't have gone out and bought an S3iS if not for reading up on stuff on DCRP.
'Course, my bank balance would prefer that, but still, I am hooked and loving it!
Look forward to seeing some of your pics mate, and everyone else, and join up on Flickr.com and share share share! (If you want to).
Howdy. This is me and a nice redfish in Shamrock Cove out of Port Aransas, Texas. The pic is a self-portrait taken with a camera phone which was then sent to a bunch of my friends because I was fishing on a work day and they, pathetic souls, were not.
I never called that redfish back.
This was taken with a 0.8 megapixel Samsung camera from two years ago in Australia.
Hey Wes, congrats on your thread getting moved and stickied bro!
