Nice bugs DPR. I like the blue background.
I don't know what kind of flower this is, I liked the way it looks.

great shot kiwi, good to see the green and gold!
herc... wow nice shot mate!!
Geez beaut shots on that last page. I really like the bird Rawpaw, nice trampolining K1W1 and Herc have you looked into selling those panos.
Here's an idea I had before I knew how to work off cam flash and finally got around to shooting this last weekend. The premise was that our currency is not uniform because of all the special commemerative editions of coins. These are just some of our common 50 cent pieces.
What I learnt from this is that the black background was the wrong choice, grey flecks on black are close to the coin colour and too hard to mask based on contrast. Otherwise I'd have preferentially darkened the black.
Some of you may think I'm nuts, but I'm sure most of you will agree that there is a LOT of room for improvement in my shots. Although I think my work is good, I am seriously not happy with the quality of my work at the moment. I think I need to dedicate myself to my craft, and with that said, this will be my last photo post here until I can honestly say I am achieving the results I want to achieve.
This photo is of a special young lady I met last weekend who tagged along with a model I was shooting. She got into wardrobe and tried out being a model for the first time.
Fiasco I think thats a mistake to withhold from posting here till you've improved. That's almost like saying we can't help you improve:(
Why don't you keep posting even when you're not fully happy with a shot and make it clear you'd like potential improvements to be verbalised.
I think it's easy for us all to fall into the trap of saying "nice shot" instead of giving comments that can lead to improvement. It's hard to risk upsetting someone who you respect and in a funny sort of way have become friends with.
So hear goes though you didn't ask for C&C and with the undersatnding we both know you're heaps better with portraits than me. (wish I had 1/2 your talent).
I think her face is too dark which I gather is a tricky problem with darker skinned models and too small? I guess underemphasised.
Perhaps a touch closer shot or some fill flash from her top right?
I think the flat grey symetrically patterned background is also unflattering. I far prefer your other backgrounds usually.
I love the colours of her dress and the way you've lit it.
