The blue tinge was described around the blown highlight ie the mid and top of the ricebowl (the one holding sauce/drink) and I can see it. I reckon I can even see it around the rice in the salad.
To be frank I'm wondering if it's a lens aberation but as I'm a newbie I don't think I've earnt the right to criticise a lens.

Did you lighten the shot in post by any chance. As the shot looks well exposed to me as presented here yet you used matrix at -1 stop. I wouldn't have thought a Nikon would get it that wrong (a Canon could be that far out for sure but not a Nikon:D). When you adjust curves/brightness/levels in post it affects the colours preferentially and can introduce noticable colour casts
