metering mode: pattern
Which brings me to another question ... what do all these metering modes do???
like whole area or 'matrix' in the case of some..
Spot metering meters just the very centre of the image and ignores the rest - helpfull sometimes with close portraits, centre weighted is similar - except a larger area and not totally ignoring the surrounding but biased towards the centre.
No, but seriously, if I wasn't financially tight, I'd keep the D40. At this point, there's no reason for me to have 2 cameras, unless what RawPaw mentioned, if I'm doing a freelance photography that would require a backup, I wouldn't have second thoughts of letting my D40 go. Maybe later on I can pick one up again cuz I know I'll definitely miss the compactness and lightweight body of it.
And for everyone that placed your opinion, I thank you and appreciate all of them. :D
The commentator said the left one was used in Korea and the right one in Vietnam if I remember correctly. I guess we keep our hardware a long time eh. Bit like the Brittish flying Swordfish off carriers in WWII.
Love the shot of your folks Turo, I prefer your original exposure as they are a great subject and correctly exposed themselves.
Here's another from the weekend, only about 100 shots to get this one as they were more predicatable than the artillery.
Nice captures, DPR!
Nice one DPR. I like how your camera handled the white pants. I think my D80 would've just completely clipped it ;)
