Awesome indeed, Falconest. What aperture is it shot?
K1W1, that's a great colourful shot from an 'exotic' location.
Falcon & Rich as always, wunderbar! The fall scene is a framer.
Tim I like the depth and content of the first shot a little more.
For a change of scenery, a semi-recent shot of Shanghai's Tai Ping Yang district (many foreign consulates in the area). Just in front of the red building in the center is the Starbucks I frequented. "Bucks" and Makie D's are very prevalent.
And "Bucks" on the other side of town (Pudong). I like both locations but the Paulaner Brauhaus & Beer Garden on the river has my favor. If you ever go there, the Shangri-La is a nice hotel (right next to the Aurora, and close to Pearl Tower).
More great and varied shots all, no wonder this threads now at 4.3 million views.
Another vote for #1, Tim. And great shots by everyone else, too! (Must stir myself to start snapping -- it's been cold and wet lately and I can't seem to drag myself away from the football on TV.........)
This is a female Widow Skimmer that was perched on my finger. The second pic is a crop that shows the detail in the eyes. It must have recently emerged as it didn't even attempt to fly, though it seemed otherwise healthy. That 24MP helped a lot there! :o The real fun part is trying to hold the camera with the Sigma 150 steady with one hand while trying to keep the little bugger from moving to an untenable position.
Now Nikon should use that shot for there advertising - apart from the fact it's shot with the Siggie. That eyeball resolution from the original is incredible.
PS I like the original shot - but the blow up of the eyeball to show the detail you've captured 1 handed is gob-smacking.
