Better days? I do believe you're right. Still, all-in-all, not a bad place to be... well maybe not in Kansas.
Green countryside of Cambodia. It can't get any greener, can it?
The sugar palm is the symbol of the country. People extract juice, and make sugar out of sugar palm. It also gives fruits, but best of all it can be made into palm alcoholic drink. :)
Sounds good to me. Mmmmmm coconut juice.
That sure is green Tim. I've never even heard of the Sugar Palm, thanks for the education.
No D70Fan... not cocunut but sugar palm. They are different. Coconut is more common but sugar palm (Borassus flabellifer) is native only to South and SE Asia; and in SE Asia it's mainly Cambodia.
Not intended to educate Dread... :)
First time I went back was in 1995, and after 15 years in Australia I forgot how green it is over there, especially in the rainy season.
Got this shot at yesterday's Mem. Day game for our local Minor League team.
Later in the game a friend I was with got hit during a similar play when the throw from the pitcher went over the First Baseman's head. As you can see we were in perfect line with the mound.
Went to the OTS Park pond today to look for dragonflies, got some nice shots.
Here is one of them. Got some decent in-flight shots too, posting them later.
That is an awesome dragonfly. Guess the new gear is working out.
