The young lady knows what she's doing. Great shot.
A star is born.
P.S. Star Trek IV is still one of my favorites (although I like the latest one alot as well).
The D7K has returned. Repaired Auto-Focus and Focus Mechanism. First shots seem to confirm.
Time will tell. Whatever happens Nikon Service did a superb job on turn-around.
Shot in program mode, normal JPEG, for worse case results. A big improvement over what I was seeing.

THAT'S better!! More like what I'd expect from a D7k. Happy snapping!
Thanks Les. Also got a new Epson Artisan 1430 up and running (replaces a now defunct Photo 2000). The combo is astounding...
... now the fun begins. Goodbye $$$$$.
Very astute D70, she did make expensive sounding noises of appreciation.
So it seems I'm taking a family driving holiday to the US in a few months, I'll ask you all for some advice shortly. And hopefully it's not all related to the above comment on her camera gear though I am contemplating a detour to New York for B&H.
DPR;
Glad to hear you will be coming to the US. I have gotten some of my stuff from B&H through their link with Amazon. Remember, we drive on the right side of the road.:rolleyes:
Like Australia. There's a lot of ground to cover. I've covered a lot of it over the years. Of the 2.5 million air miles I've flown in the past 25 years, almost half was domestic. Wish I had carried my camera more.
Note: Costco has a D600 kit with 24-85 and 70-300 VR's for $2400.
