Nikon DSLR "Picture Of The Day"

Les, I prefer the first sharpened one :P And Kiwi, unreal, just unreal...

Haven't been doing much shooting this summer, but I dug it out of the bag today to grab some more RC shots on the course I built for the kids...

Great shot of a Writing Spider. Looks like a female, the males are much slimmer in the abdomen. They are occasional summer residents, here. I got several nice shots of one 2 years ago.

Restful? Stream? That's the headwaters of the Yarra River mate and it is not in flood but it's unusually high at the moment. It's actually a 5 shot HDR with two of the tripod legs in the water to get the camera out far enough for a view.

Close. We had lunch just behind the far hills on the left edge of the frame. Where I stopped to try to explain Cricket to you was sort of behind the cameras back (about 1 mile I guess).

Say goodbye to pretty much _all_ your disposable income. :D I bought one for each of my boys, and ended up getting one for myself too cause they wouldn't share. Made the mistake of buying the entry level Slashes, and have now had to upgrade pretty much every drivetrain component after the cheap stuff broke. I've got more cash tied up in RC parts than I do in my vehicles <laugh>

The photo is crap. You need at a minimum a D600, if not a D800 for the shot to be worth anything. You definitely need an FX camera.

That's why I got rid of the D80 about a month after I bought it. Good shot.
