I am constantly amazed by the varied subjects and interesting scenes from around the world we get on the forum. I'd never see something like that in my life in Aus. The black and white suits it a treat too. Thanks for sharing AMD. If you don't mind I'd be inclined to give it a little straighten - or am I seeing things?

DPR,
I think that the building is on an incline as I thought the same at first. One of those challenges of having a small view of a large scene and how the brain works.

DPR - This one gave me fits on the straightening as it is built into a hill with opposing inclines on each side. Trees are leaning and the curved drives made it even more challenging! I touched it up a bit, this looks a tad better, thanks for the input and glad you guys liked it!

Missed me!!
Can't decide which crop of this pic I like better. The closer one gives a better look at the batter and the ball but the more distant one shows more of the atmosphere of the game. Taken last Sat. at a local minor league game(Binghamton Mets, AA affiliate of the NY Mets). Opinions, suggestions?
BTW that ball whizzed above my head jusdt after I pulled the camera down from my face after the shot.

Definitely prefer the more distant crop, Falconest. As you say, it conveys more of the atmosphere of the game, and the sense of capturing movement (just look at the batter's feet). I particularly like the 'double teaming' of the catcher and umpire. Nice shot!
-
x2 on the second crop. Nice.

black & white hdr of a church I saw while doing some travelling
Couldn't get right in center of the church, because, well, I don't have a wide-enough lens to keep me from getting run over by traffic :D

New desktop background
Liked this shot so much that I edited it to it my 22" wide-screen monitor. Found at a local retailer's garden plant display. Edited for sharpness and added a vignette. As all of my icons are outside along the edges, this works out very well for me.
