or you can just put them on the computer and add the photo through itunes.
i have all my photos on my ipad
Thanks I know that you can do it that way but I was curios how Cyberwolf actually did it in this case.
If the Camera connection kit was used I'd be interested to know how well it works with a D300 as you have to physically connect the iPad to the D300 to transfer the images.
They don't make an Ipad that would hold more than a couple of weeks of my photos at this time of year. :)
Hey K1W1
There's a Chinese company called M.I.C that make a CompactFlash UDMA compatible reader for the iPad which I am due to receive within the week. On this occasion though I just used iTunes to copy it over.
I used two apps for this pic, one called piRAWnha, a RAW processing / manipulation app, similar in concept to Adobe's Bridge. I then used Photogene which is a surprisingly good image editing / processing app (ala Photoshop / Capture NX), both I believe support loading RAW files from the d300 but I've been having teething issues with the latter with getting it to recognise the RAW files copied via iTunes, will be quite interested to see how it goes once I do direct imports via the CF reader (also have the CCK too I'll be experimenting with).
The class of photography apps has really stepped up a few notches recently for the mobile computing space c/o the iPad.
Thanks. I'd love a PM with a link to the Compact Flash reader supplier.
Edit: Found the manufacturer site. They have some interesting stuff.
Hey K1W1
Received the CF reader today and immediately pulled a CF card from the D300 and plugged it in to the reader, worked well, in Photos app and both Photogene and piRAWnha both immediately recognised and loaded the D300's RAW files, so all has worked seamlessly for me using this method.
Here's one of the pics imported via the reader, processed and them exported all via the iPad (it's a little blurry unfortunately due to too low an ISO)

Ps. Another app worth mentioning is Photosmith, a new Lightroom tagging and cataloging tool for the iPad. Yet to try it myself though.
Yeah I read Rob's reviews, all the CF cards though I have were in his list of those that worked fine, given the price it's a pretty good offering as initial impressions go.
