Getting to grips with the 35mm 1.8 af-s
TFA it's still beautifull even if it hasn't achieved what you intended. I'd like sharper trees myself.
Photowerkz, for a "snapshot" it's very catchy with that shallow depth of field.

Here is a head-on shot of a Mallard drake.n He and his 'girlfriend' were feeding along a local riverbank when he turned and gave me this head-on shot.
Falconcrest, it looks as though the focus is on the body of the duck and not the head. Nice detail on the feathers though.
Dread Pirate, I'm not feeling the composition on this one. Feels just kinda there. And I don't like how close to the bottom of the frame the tombstone is. I like the conversion to bw though. :)
