I think metering was the problem Les not iso. That white bird against a dark background the camera made the wrong decision.

Well, I selected shutter priority to get the 1/1000s shutter speed and I had auto-ISO on, so the camera bumped the ISO up to 900. Maybe I could have selected 1/125s, and then the ISO would have been, what, 250? -- which would have preserved more detail.Quote:
