Btw, if I am not mistaken you had D700 before D3, if so then why you swapped? any specific reason?
Gee, there's been some great shots here lately. Kudos to you all.
Here's a portrait I took for a theatre programme biography. The lighting was outdoor shade plus fill-in flash. I used my Nikkor 18-200 VR handheld at 70mm (105mm equivalent). 1/60s @ f/5, ISO 200. Who said the 18-200 isn't sharp at apertures wider than f/8? :) And yes, his skin really was that 'seen-too-much-sun' red colour. You'd think he'd have a shave before a sitting, wouldn't you?
that is scary sharp, well done.
There's a reason I guess that most portraits tone down sharpness a little. Looks like I could sharpen my pocket knife on him :p
yeah thats sharp as anything. great light most of all. great case of perfect eye contact and a simple composition.
Nice portrait (and that would be me that complains about the 18-200 ;)).
can anyone pick what this bird is running from ? lol
More letters to make a post.
Heres one from a holiday in Greece I just got back from. Its just a window and bell on a small church but it looked picturesque!
