the first is cropped to try and make the composition a bit more interesting. its cropped down from a landscape to a portrait orientation, so i guess thats about a 30% crop ?? but yeah, i could get very close to it.
this lens is hell sharp from f5.6-8. i did cheat a little on these pics, they both have 3px high pass sharpening. its not a huge difference but its noticeable.
Here's a landscape shot from the field at BCIT's Burnaby campus. I thought it turned out pretty well.

I probably should have upped the aperture, now that I think about it.
Have you considered cropping it above the road and shadow and just below the sign so that the sign becomes the close object for perspective?
Thanks Accord and TheKoopaBros :)
Great shots, Rooz. The detail is fantastic.
TheKoopaBros, I agree with Kiwi's suggestion. The colours and exposure are nice, but due to the composition the picture lack depth. If you make a panoramic crop it will look better.
The following picture was a combination of two shots, one with a 5 second exposure and the other with a 15 second exposure. I edited both in NX until the colours were just about the same. I liked the sky of the 5 second exposure better, because the clouds still had some detail. However, the land was very noisy because I had to boost the shadows a lot. So, I put in the land of the 15 second exposure in photoshop. There's some motion blur, due to the wind, but I don't think it's a bad thing here.

Your shots have always been amazing but lately your PP has been impressive too. Real progress, you must have put some effort into learning and I was just publicly noticing.
Rooz photography constantly makes me envious that i was as good :p (as does a few others work here too..)
