I am looking for a hard disk device to store raw images ( Canon .cd2 ). As the Compact flash card just cannot hold enough for a trip, and multiple cards are expensive. Is anyone aware of a device, 20 or 40 MB that works well, supports raw, accepts compact flash and usb to the pc. I don't care for a device that holds video, audio, etc. Just a good, reliable storage for raw photos.
If you have experience with something like this I would love to hear from you.

Take a look at www.archos.com. There you will find 20/40/80 Gb storage with MP3 player bonus. Reviews are very good indeed.
Look for devices that have "usb host" connection. This connection emulates the USB port of a PC providing the ability to download pictures from your camera like if you were attached to a laptop.

Epson P-2000 seems to be a popular choice. The detail of the large LCD is simply amazing. Displays most popular RAW formats.
