Can somone tell me how I insert the pictures into the post, instead of attaching them as files? When I click on the insert image its asking for the text to be formatted????

are they hosted externally? if so, try using vB code...
[img ] url of image hosted [ /img] (i used spaces in the coding for demonstation) ;)

No they are not hosted externally. Im a noob LOL!
it's all good, we all start somewhere...
two ways of achieving this...you can re-size the images so that they fit under the forums upload size (i generally optimize my images @ 800x600 pixels, and †200kbs.
but that's a lot of work, especially if you're unfamiliar with post processing software.
so, my suggestion is to set up a hosting site...
www.imageshack.us or the like, then use the boards vB coding to link your images to your thread.
hope this helps! ;)

Nice shots Esoterra. Good framing in 1 and 3. 2 is a great sunset, and 4 is an interesting subject all by itself.

nicely done!
great photos. chris, whatever camera you're shooting with has great depth of field , on spot color, and definately in the right hands! keep up the great work!
my favorite is still the sunset over mt. charleston. i just love the colors. any post-processing work done here?
"mountains and brush" is great in terms of sky contrast...certainly depicts the mesa. but the dry green tones of the desert lush, and the fading/hazy horizon is what hurt the image for me...beautiful nonetheless...i'm just a "color in your face" kind-of-guy...(which is probably why i like the sunset so much.) maybe a slight boost in contrast would tone down the fading horizon point; and perhaps a slide or two of saturation.
"grand canyon overlook" is a great picture! again, that depth of field can really be seen. the slight haze washed the image out for me. but, really an excellent composition. i love the framing of the dry tree on the right/foreground versus the nearby foliage. again, slight boost in contrast i think might compensate.
and last, nice macro of a cactus! very "true-to-life" colors.
i really like you eye, and composition. again, i'd be interested to hear what you're shooting with.
i didn't mean to pick apart your images at all...i just wish they were mine. :D and that's the way i might have post-processed them. :o can't wait to see more.
here are soem of mine for you to critique:

Thanks Phistio for your feed back. That is exactly what I needed to hear as your critique will help me take better pictures and post processing. Thanks again. Most of these pictures were taking with my Canon A85 (http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/canon/powershot_a85-review/)
I havent done any post processing on any of my pictures but Im definatley going to boost the contrast in the pictures you mentioned to see if it improves. The Canon A85 has a Vivid Setting which I think is what makes the colors jump out in some of the pictures. So I guess that would be Pre-Processing ? lol. Anyhow, I will definatley post more pictures. Thanks again for the feedback.

Some very nice photos you have taken, any objection to my using that top photo as a backscene for a model railroad photo. If not, I will post the results here later on. Thanks
Quby.
