Hi all;

Just purchased my FZ-20; so far I love it; my first "real" digital after a point-and-shoot HP model.

So, my question: I purchased a Panasonic DMW-CAC1 AC adapter for using the camera in studio situations (shooting model trains). Do I need to remove the battery from the camera first, or can I simply plug it in and get shooting? :confused:

I searched the forum archive and the only threads I found were from last year, before this unit was available. Most of the discussion revolved around using other adaptors and/or modifying them. With a piece of equipment such as this I want to stick with OEM. I don't want to fry anything, I have only had the camera for four days :o

Many thanks in advance and I look forward to discussing our cameras together!

Best regards;

Jim H :)

I use a battery adapter from Walmart. I take the battery out so it doesn't discharge. I also have a DPS9000 external battery that I also take out the internal battery so it doesn't discharge too.
