Just bought F10, and have problem.

I just bought the F10 yesterday, and it works great except for one problem. On my camera, after I take a picture, the LCD screen momentarly blacks-out. It normal picture taking screen returns in maybe 1 or two seconds, and the orange light is also blinking during the blackout. Sometimes, after I take a picture, the scrren goes to normal, then blacks out and then goes back to normal. Does anyone elses f10 do this? I called tech support, and they said that the camera was just recording the image, but why then does the screen go black for those few seconds?

If so, try the 16MB card and see if the "blackout" still persists. It could be that your memory card is running slower than it should be. If not, if you're just shooting on the supplied card, try a bigger one, preferably of the high-speed variety.

Yea i tried the memory card that came with the camera, and it still blacked out. As far as I know, there is no such thing as a high speed xD card. Thanks though

every digital camera I've ever used has done this... the lcd blacks out briefly while the data is being written... are you saying the fuji is longer than others? it will probably be longer after taking a flash than a nonflash picture... maybe I'm misunderstanding your question?

the higher the ISO, the bigger the files. The bigger the files, the longer it takes to write.
