My batteries go dead after about three pictures when I use my camera. I have three batteries and two chargers so I think the problem is in the camera or operators error. When it is on the ac adapter its ok to go.
Anyone help?
Thank you in advance

Can't help as I have the same problem. I've had the camera going on 5 years now and battery life has been getting progressively worse. I have a total of 7 batteries, of various stages of "memory" but the worst is a new one I bought that gives a green light in the charger but shows the low battery indicator as soon as the camera is turned on! Have to believe it's the camera but I'm clueless as to how.

I have the 4800's little brother, the 3400, and my 3400's done this on a few occasions. Recharge the batteries again and try again. Have you also tried this out with a set of plain AA's?
