Hi,
I got this brilliant idea the other day. What if you could install a third-party software (or vendor software for that matter) and use your digital camera as a webcamera? Yeah I know, this is probably an outdated idea. Nevertheless..
With my brilliant idea still boiling in my head, I contacted the norwegian branch of Nikon Support and asked if that kind of software exists. To my complete amazement, the support representative replied that yes, software of that kind supposedly is available, but he could not tell me from who or where to get it, and that I should seek help tracking it down via online digital camera communities.
So, is it possible to install a piece of software, hook up your digital camera and have it function like a regular webcam? If yes, where might I find this software, and if no, no such software is available, why not? There really should be if there isn't. (That's probably a question beyond any of us).
I hope some of you can give me some feedback on this :)
Thanks!
